  1. Slacked with the Boston Slackers. The girl who runs the group is really into longlining so Mel and I got to try our first ever long line! The line was about 230 feet rigged with SMC pulleys and about $500 of equipment. Longlining is really hard. I got about 60ft out and couldn't really control the line anymore. You need to be completely focused because once you put energy into a line that long it's really hard to stop the vibration. Convinced Sonya (the longliner) to compete this week and loaned her a jibline to practice on.

    Then went to the house in Tewksbury to practice on the competition line. It got dark fast so I didn't put much work in but I did land a standing 540 on the comp line! (Maybe I'll throw one during the comp)
