UOA Big East tournament. Pittsburgh over Rutgers in the final 15-8ish maybe? I'm pretty sure this was my last game of competitive ultimate, at least at the college level.
That cute gymnast that I posted about like a month ago has been coming to slackline club meetings every week for the last three weeks. She's been the only one too so it's just been me and her for 2 hours having a ball.
She is really amazing. After <6 hours on the line she has already landed about 5 jumps (which took me probably 25-50 hrs). She seems really into it and I'm really excited to see what she can do in the weeks to come. I have no doubt that if she sticks with it she'll surpass me before the end of the school year.
Anyway, she peer pressured me into trying my first cartwheel. I was pretty terrified and my first attempts were really lame. She gave me some tips though and I've gotten really close to landing it once or twice...not bad considering I've only been trying for two days.
Also, I was have trouble focusing on the move because I kinda have a crush on her.
I'd be interested in hearing what made you decide that this weekend was your last playing college ultimate either in a post or over the phone.
