My back was killing me. I decided I wasn't going to let it beat me. So I didn't.

I used RunningMap.com this time because it has updated maps (way better than MapMyRun, though the interface is slightly worse).

ReplyDeleteI'm soooo close to getting comfortable with my 360s. Tried some l-sits on the line today. My core is too weak to hold my legs up for more than 5-10 seconds but my arms could definitely last 15-20 seconds.
Focus
360s
Blindfolded skills - Walking, Standing on one foot, Bouncing, Gutstands
Splits - I feel like I'm making some progress but it's very slow. Wish I had a giant protractor so I could measure my achievement.
Good job beating your back. It got the best of you when we did Griff.
Yeah Griff was rough, I don't remember my back bothering me, but you could be right. This was my first timed 5K so I was pretty happy with it. I can add "sub 20 5K" to my goals now.... maybe.
ReplyDeleteI'd suggest you try the L-sits on the ground or on the edge of a table/bench to get a feel for them. Did you land 360(s) today?
By "it got the best of you during Griff" I meant it beat the rest of your body cause you were running BACKWARDS. What!!!! Oooohhhh...
ReplyDeleteDidn't land any 360s today but I'm really comfortable with the takeoff and executing the spin. Landing is the only thing left to nail now.
